Andrea Cheung

Andrea assists clients with non-contentious probate and estate administration matters, as well as contentious disputes related to inheritance and trusts.

Andrea joined Hugill & Ip in 2021 and is a part of the Private Client team. During her traineeship, she had already shown strong interest and dedication in Private Client practice, specialising in contentious and non-contentious probate matters, matrimonial and other family matters.

Andrea is always patient in understanding client’s needs and providing practical legal solutions.  She has experience in conducting civil litigation and contentious family and probate matters including divorce, challenges to Wills and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Ordinance, Cap. 481. She also has experience in drafting Wills and Grant Applications.

Andrea obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016. Guided by her aspiration for a legal career, she then pursued further studies with a Juris Doctor at her alma mater, where she completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Laws in 2019.

Andrea is an avid reader. She also likes swimming and exploring the nature during her leisure time.

Andrea is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
