Bio
Gary has extensive experience in corporate and cross-border transactions, investments, joint ventures, financing, licensing, manufacturing and distribution arrangements.
Gary was raised and educated in the United States, graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School (BS in Econ Finance cum laude) and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (Order of the Coif). He is licensed to practice law in New York and Hawaii and qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong. Gary was previously with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom in New York, a partner with Blank Rome and with Oldham, Li and Nie in Hong Kong, and served as Chief Legal Counsel in Asia for a Fortune 100 company.
Gary’s clients are U.S., European and Hong Kong based multi-national companies, private equity funds and private businesses in the financial services, private equity, securities, media, technology and internet related business sectors. He has also worked in the petrochemical and clean energy field, establishing and restructuring companies, joint ventures and operations throughout Asia.
Gary is committed to the arts and charitable causes. He has received the pro-bono award from The Hong Kong Law Society for his service to the community in multiple occasions.
