Raphael Wong

Raphael specializes in Family and Private Client practice, including matrimonial, adoptions, inheritance provisions for dependants, probate & trusts – both contentious and non-contentious.

Raphael was admitted as a solicitor in 2016. Prior to joining Hugill & Ip in 2020, he had over 6 years of solid training and practice in a specialized and renowned family law firm in Hong Kong. He has wide exposure to different areas of matrimonial and family law including divorce, pre & post nuptial agreements, deeds of separation, judgements summons, relocation, custody, guardianship and adoption. He also has experience in preparing Wills and Trust deeds. He now advises families of all backgrounds with regards to matrimonial and family law.

Raphael obtained his B.Comm (Hons) in 2010 from the University of Toronto and later moved back to Hong Kong where he obtained a Juris Doctor in 2013 and then his Postgraduate Certificate in Laws in 2014 from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

In 2023 Raphael was recognised Rising Leader for his Family & Matrimonial practice in Private Client Global Elite and Family Law Rising Star in Doyle’s Guide. He has received the pro-bono award from The Hong Kong Law Society for his service to the community in multiple occasions.

Raphael loves cars and he is an old-fashioned manual transmission guy. Apart from spending time with the stick and the clutch pedal, he is also into travel photography and is recently learning baseball and motorcycle.

Raphael is fluent in English and Cantonese.
