CURRENT OPENINGS

We are currently looking for a Accountant to bring his/her knowledge and expertise to the firm.

Job duties:

The role intended to work alongside existing members of our Finance & Accounting team.  It is expected that the successful applicant will have full accounting skills and experience, and the work duties will be varied based on current workflows and the needs of the function.

Cash and Account Payables

  • Verify of all payments and ensure payments adhere to the firm’s policies
  • Record disbursement vouchers, cheques and reimbursement claims into the system on timely manner (Experience with Clio and Quick books will be an advantage)
  • Prepare cheques and bank payments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Respond to all external vendors’ inquiries as well as timekeepers’ in a timely manner
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing process

Handle Account receivables

  • Identify incoming payment and input client receipts on a timely basis
  • Consult with fee earners for unidentified funds
  • Handle client’s account receipt and payment and ensure compliance with The Law Society of Hong Kong rules
  • Verify all clients’ accounts payment to ensure we have all supporting documents and authorizations are in place
  • Follow up with timekeepers and supporting staff to ensure disbursements are paid within deadlines

The Successful Applicant will:

  • Accounting background with AP and Client’s account experience as an advantage
  • Experience with Law Firm, including Clio and/or QuickBooks will be an advantage
  • Able to handle multiple tasks, ability to read, interpret and follow instructions.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work well in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Good command of English and Cantonese and computer skills
  • Well organized, mature, self-motivated and able to work independently and as a team player

We are currently looking for a Paralegal / Legal Executive to bring his/her knowledge and expertise to the Family practice area.

Job Description

  • Preparing drafts of pleadings or other related documents
  • Bundle preparation for hearings and assisting with legal research
  • Drafting invoices, payment vouchers, statements of accounts
  • Attending meetings with clients and Counsel, drafting correspondence and general file organization
  • Performing translation work when required

The Successful Applicant will be

  • Holder of Diploma in Legal Studies for the Legal Executive position
  • Passion for Family Law with previous experience in this field is a definite plus
  • Familiar with Family Court procedures is also an advantage
  • Good command of English, and preferably Cantonese
  • Good computer skills
  • Well organized, mature, self-motivated and able to work independently

We are currently looking for a Litigation Clerk to bring his/her knowledge and expertise to the Family practice area.

Job Description

  • Providing support to Family practice
  • Undertaking litigation/ civil procedure research
  • Reviewing and drafting court documents and correspondence
  • Preparing bundles
  • Serving legal documents
  • Performing translation work when required

The Successful Applicant will be

  • At least 1 year secretarial or clerical experience
  • Familiar with Court procedures, preferably including Family Court
  • Good command of English and Cantonese
  • Good computer skills
  • Well organized, mature, self-motivated and able to work independently

From our perspective, we need to recruit dedicated and committed individuals who want to contribute to our continuing success.

Note: Openings for Trainee Contracts for 2024 intake have been filled. We encourage interested candidates to apply for Internship seats as a fast-track selection for future Traineeships.

Non-Legal

Our legal teams are supported by paralegals, administrators and secretaries who are very much part of the team. We welcome applications from people who have the experience and enthusiasm and who want to support and drive forward the success of the firm.

Internships

Our internship programme is an opportunity for students to gain valuable insight into working in a busy legal environment.

We look for well-rounded individuals with excellent academic results, language and research skills. We offer the program on an ongoing basis for periods ranging from two weeks to one month, or even longer.

To enable you to get the most from the experience, you will work closely with lawyers, trainees and paralegals who will offer you guidance and supervision in order for interns to gain hands-on experience and widen your horizons.
