Chapman Lee

Chapman Lee is an Associate in the Private Client team. His practice covers trust and succession planning, with experience advising on the establishment and administration of trust structures, together with the preparation of Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Advance Medical Directives, and both contentious and non-contentious estate matters.

Chapman has experience assisting clients on trust-related matters, including the drafting, reviewing and revising trust deeds and letters of wishes. Combined with his experience across Wills, powers of attorney, probate applications and estate administration, he is able to advise clients in taking a holistic view of their succession planning needs, from initial structuring through to eventual estate administration.

Chapman joined Hugill & Ip as an intern after completing the part-time Postgraduate Certificate in Laws at The University of Hong Kong, before joining the firm as a Trainee Solicitor. He obtained his LLB from The University of Manchester in 2018, and interned with the compliance and trust team of a leading offshore corporate service provider during his university years.

Before joining the legal profession, Chapman spent several years in the Wealth Planning and Advisory team of a major international private bank, where he advised high-net-worth clients on wealth and succession planning solutions, including the establishment of offshore trusts and broader estate planning strategies.

Outside of work, Chapman enjoys basketball, muay thai, and following football and Formula 1. He also has a keen interest in music.

Chapman is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
