He initially joined Hugill & Ip as a Paralegal in 2019, before moving to Magrath Sheldrick LLP in London to undergo his traineeship. He has since returned to the firm and brings with him a wealth of experience in the areas of Corporate & Commercial, Employment and Business Immigration.

Angus supports clients with their legal matters whilst they strive to achieve their business goals. His corporate services include: helping to devise/coordinate legal structures and group re-structuring; assisting with acquisitions and sales; assisting with amicable settlements of shareholder/director disputes; helping businesses with continued legal compliance as they expand; and drafting relevant commercial documentation (shareholder agreements, sale and purchase agreements, settlement agreements, non-disclosure agreements, join venture agreements, licences, Companies Registry documentation, etc).

Alongside, Angus is skilled at dealing with varied and complex private/corporate client Immigration applications, with his Hong Kong and UK Immigration experience putting him in good stead to provide cross-jurisdictional insights. He also assists in various employment matters, which include assisting employees and employers with advisory matters, drafting (employment contracts, employment policies etc), disputes and Labour Tribunal proceedings.

Angus graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Business and Management, he went on to study the CPE in English and Hong Kong law with Manchester Metropolitan University, and then completed the Legal Practice Course with the University of Law.

In his spare time Angus enjoys following and playing sport. He has a love for rugby and has played since he was a child.
