Catherine Tso

Catherine focuses on family law matters – including separation, nuptial agreements, divorce, financial claims, relocation and children matters.

Catherine was admitted as a Solicitor in Hong Kong in 2016. During her traineeship and after qualification, Catherine worked for a full-service Hong Kong law firm and provided legal services in various areas of law including family law. In 2018, Catherine decided to specialise in family law and joined the Family & Divorce Team headed by one of the top family lawyers in Hong Kong at a renowned law firm, where she worked for more than 5 years before joining Hugill & Ip.

Catherine has experience in different areas of family law, including separation and divorce, financial claims, disputes relating to custody and childcare, relocation and holiday removal applications, non-molestation orders and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. She was recognised as a “Hong Kong Family Law Rising Star” by Doyle’s Guide in 2022 and 2023.

Catherine completed her LL.B. at the University of Warwick before returning to Hong Kong to complete her PCLL and LL.M. at the University of Hong Kong.

Catherine has a passion for food and travelling, and she particularly enjoys travelling to Japan.

Catherine speaks fluent English and Cantonese.
