Kim Macnamara

Kim focuses on all aspects of family law, including divorce and separation, child custody and care arrangements, financial disputes and nuptial agreements.

Kim was admitted as a Solicitor in Hong Kong in 2014. She began her career at an international law firm specialising in litigation, spending some time in London as part of her training.

In 2018, Kim decided to pursue her passion for family law and joined the family team at an international law firm, where she spent three and a half years. Prior to joining Hugill & Ip, Kim was part of the Family & Divorce Team headed by one of the top family lawyers in Hong Kong at a renowned boutique law firm.

Kim has experience in a wide range of family law matters, both contentious and non-contentious. Her practice focuses on all aspects of family law, including divorce and separation, child custody and care arrangements (including permanent removal/relocation applications and cases involving the Hague Convention), financial disputes and drafting pre- and post-nuptial agreements. Kim has also been involved in a number of cases involving jurisdictional issues.

Kim completed her LL.B at the University of Exeter before returning to Hong Kong to complete her PCLL at City University of Hong Kong.

Outside work, you will find Kim running around after her two very active young boys. She also enjoys exercise, playing and following a variety of sports, and travel.
