Hugill & Ip has announced the recruitment of Jade Tang as partner in the firm’s corporate and commercial team. She (has joined the firm in June 2020) and will be working together with co-heads Christopher Hooley and Gary Wong.

Tang specialises in corporate and commercial law and has an extensive knowledge of employment and business immigration issues. Her record shows a fair experience in dealing with cross-border transactions related to joint-ventures, shareholder agreements, M&A and assisting clients in the setup of private equity funds, as well as advising on compliance and corporate governance issues.

Adam Hugill commented: “Jade is an exceptionally talented lawyer who clients trust unreservedly. It was a joy to work with her previously and I know she will be a fantastic asset to our Corporate & Commercial and Employment teams, strengthening our ability to service clients in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Japan and throughout the region.”

According to the firm, Hugill & Ip now has 30 staff and plans to further boost the family and matrimonial practice in the near future.
